The Bake and Rummage sale was a success!!!

Thanks to great weather, a nice turnout from the community, hours of hard work from a volunteer set-up and clean-up crew, an overwhelming response to calls for donated rummage items and baked goods, and local business's generous contributions of goods and services, the Zoe Buyalos Fund Rummage and Bake Sale on Saturday, June 20 was a big success. We went well over our fundraising goal for the event, and everybody had a great time.

Highlights included acoustic serenades from Miss Molly and Megan Palmer and a fantastic mid-day set by Matt Monta and Bree, plus sugar-high inducing gorgeous cupcakes, brownies, donuts, baklava and three beautiful cakes from local bakeries and restaurants. One of our bake sale volunteers couldn't stop eating the pickles from Katzingers, and Zoe's favorites were the chocolate-covered blueberries from Emily's Sweet Tooth (we saved some of those for the afterparty). We washed everything down with delicious Fair Trade coffee from Global Gallery and milk from local grass-fed dairy Snowville Creamery.

There were more rummage sale items than we could fit in the building, and everyone went home with at least one satisfying score.

Check out these stories about the event!
